Waldo Canyon fire is advancing north... over 15,750 acres burned, and it's at the edge of Air Force Academy. I think Woodland Park may be threatened also. There's gotta be many hundreds of homes lost in nw Colorado Springs, I'm guessing from several videos I just saw from news helicopters. Officials aren't giving out those numbers yet.

I would imagine Garden of The Gods is surrounded by fire. I lived just up the street from there, in The Cliff House, in Manitou Springs. This was my playground, along with Pikes Peak.

The Flagstaff fire is advancing slowly into Boulder. People are unsettled.

Manitou is a neat little town. We just were at both Cave of the Winds and Garden of the Gods on Fathers Day ( you know how it is you never do the tourist things when you live there although I lived in South Denver not the Springs ). All I can say is I'm glad I'm not there now. Of course the people who's homes are buring or near burning have it the worst but I imagine the smoke and the heat is unbearable everywhere in the State.
